The Philippines is a tropical country located in the Southeast Asia Region of the Asia Continent. A country that is so rich in natural resources and home to many amazing beaches in the world. And I am so proud to call it my home.
Now, I have gathered my top three picks of which I think the best beaches in the Philippines based on my travels so far. Though I must admit that I have not really gone to all beaches in the Philippines but basically this blog is also based on my researches and own experiences as well.
Let us start from 3 to 1!
TOP 3: EL NIDO, PALAWAN
You will never go wrong in putting El Nido, Palawan in your bucket list. El Nido’s rock formations are truly amazing and the beaches are far beyond wonderful. And there are just so many island hopping activities to choose from. Following packages are offered:
TOUR A: Small Lagoon, Big Lagoon, 7 Commando Beach, Shimizu Island, Hidden Lagoon
TOUR B: Pangulasian Island, Snake Island, Pinagbuyutan Island, Papaya Beach, Cudugnon Cave, Cathedral Cave
TOUR C: Helicopter Island, Matinloc Shrine, Secret Beach, Tapiutan Island, Hidden Beach, Talisay Beach.
In our case, we only chose TOUR A because we only stayed for two days and one night in El Nido. I’d wanna go back there one of these days. We have booked our El Nido tour through the KLOOK application. Very convenient and hassle-free.
By the way, all tours are inclusive of lunch by the beach and sometimes tours are subject to change due to the weather conditions.
TOP 2: SIARGAO
If you’re into so-called “island vibe” then Siargao is perfect for you. Siargao Island is considered as the “surfing capital” of the Philippines. It is situated in the province of Surigao del Norte. Apart from being the surfing capital, Siargao is also home to some of the amazing beaches in the Philippines. Don’t miss there island hopping activities visiting Naked, Guyam, and Daku Islands to name a few. Magpupungko Rock Pool is insanely beautiful so don’t miss it too.
There is also another fun-filled package tour that you can enjoy during your stay in Siargao, the Sohoton Bucas Grande tour.
Sohoton is located on the other side of Surigao del Norte. The tour will give you an adventure that leaves a mark on your heart forever. The tour includes kayaking to the jellyfish sanctuary, getting into Hagukan Cave wherein you need to dive and hold your breath for 8 seconds (during high tide only) to see the amazing luminous water inside and lastly, getting inside Magkuku-ob cave wherein you will see beautiful rock formations before you climb the stairs for your 500 cm cliff jump.
And my favorite. Sugba Lagoon. Well, I can’t find the right words to describe this magical place. The photos are just so underrated when you compare it to the real one. And by the way, it is in Siargao that I have come to test my swimming prowess.
Siargao is indeed one of the best and one of the most unforgettable trips of my life.
TOP 1: CORON, PALAWAN
I consider Coron, Palawan as paradise here on earth. Like El Nido, it offers a lot of island hopping tours as well. The following are some sample packages:
TOUR A: CYC Beach, Coral Garden, Lunch at Atwayan Beach, Hidden Lagoon, Quin Reef, Kayangan Lake
TOUR B: Barracuda Lake, Skeleton Wreck, Lunch at Banol Beach, Twin Lagoon, Reef Garden
TOUR C: Waling Waling Island, Ditaytay Island, Lunch at Malcapuya Island, Banana Island, Bulog Dos Island
In our case, we booked the ‘SUPER ULTIMATE ISLAND HOPPING TOUR” for our first day as they call it and added the “CALAUIT SAFARI TOUR” for our second day.
For the Super Ultimate Tour, you will visit Kayangan and Barracuda Lakes, Siete Pecados Island, have lunch at Banol Beach with its crystal clear water as your view, do snorkeling activity in a Coral Reef Garden, dive into a Skeletal Shipwreck and lastly head on to the famous Twin Lagoon. And this, by the way, is a whole day tour.
For the Calauit Safari Tour, you will go to the Calauit Safari in the morning to see some giraffes, zebras, deers and other kinds of animals. In the afternoon, you will head on to North Cay Island or maybe to other islands of your choice depending on the tour that you have booked. All tours are inclusive of lunch. Coron has many things to offer to you. And visiting this paradise is always a good choice.
So there you go, these are my top 3 picks. I will do separate blogs for each of them soon. And I hope that after reading this blog, you will book that two-way ticket instantly. May it be for Coron, Siargao or El Nido. It doesn’t matter for as long as you take that much needed R&R in any of these amazing beaches in the Philippines.
